I bought a Rolex watch in Zermatt, Switzerland a few years ago when I went there for a trip. I paid about $2000 for the watch and was expecting to sell it. I just kind of kept it and still have it today.
I ended up just keeping the watch rather than selling it. The watch is water resistant up to 100 meters and is made from stainless steel. I do a bit of diving time to time so it was deep enough for me. The watch works perfectly underwater.
This watch weight might bother you if you are a person whith arhritic or joint pains. It weights 8 ounces which does not bother me personally but I do know some people who will not like it. Just like the orginonal Rolex Explorer, the explorer II features a minute, hour, time zone, date and second hand.
The date is in magnified by a bubble and the way the second hand ticks is very smooth. In addition there is a red hand that is set to your home time zone which is on the front of the watch. It is also very easy for you to adjust the black hand.
The watch comes in two different dial colors. There is a black dial and a white dial. My watch has the whit dial and looks great. One great thing is the quality is so good on these watches that it looks the same since I got it.
The Rolex Explorer is an automatic watch. The way it gains is power is from half weighted pendulum. This winds the main spring and then gives the watch it’s power through a series of other springs.
This watch is really great. You can hand it down to your kid or grand kid, also people do not realize it is a rolex but it’s a fine watch and great for ownership.
Lastly this watch glass piece is made from Sapphire crystals. This means that you won’t have to worry about getting scratches or dents from daily use. When it comes time to pass it down, the watch will still look great.
